Using audio with the AT&T Connect Mobile application is equal to regular talk-time battery usage, and connecting to the AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application on the Internet is equal to Internet battery usage. Battery usage for each activity (audio or Internet usage) varies between the different iPhone devices (3G, 3Gs or 4) and between the different networks (3G or WiFi).

If you are not an AT&T Connect customer, you can join a conference to which you were invited by email. First, download the AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application from Apple Store and then join the conference from the email invitation.

Is there an additional charge for using the AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application on my iPhone?

There is no additional charge for using the AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor on your iPhone. However, if your company has enabled the Call Me feature, you may be charged for the incoming call, based on your cellular plan.

Which countries support the AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application on the iPhone?

AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor for iPhone works wherever iPhones are supported and 3G/WiFi networks are available.

Which languages are supported?

The AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application for iPhone is available in English only.

Will the Call Me feature work for me?

If your company has enabled the Call Me feature, it will work for you. You will receive a call to your iPhone device right after you joined the conference with the AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application. If the Call Me feature is available, it may be configured not to work outside North America.

Setting up your AT&T Teleconference Service account on your iPhone

Why do I need to set up my account?

If you set up your AT&T Teleconference Service account on your iPhone, you will be able to start a conference directly from your iPhone (by tapping the Start a Conference button).

Do I need to set up my account to be able to join a conference?

No. You can join a conference without first setting up your account. You will be asked to type your name and phone number.

How do I set up my account?

  1. Look in your mailbox for a “TeleConference Reservationless Registration Confirmation” email.

  2. Open the Registration Confirmation email and click on the “Click Here to Join Conference Monitor” link. This opens the Safari browser with the AT&T Connect entry page.

  3. If you have not yet installed the AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application on your iPhone, tap on the Apple Store button to download it from Apple store. After the application installed, go back to step 1.

  4. If you already have the application installed on your iPhone, tap on the Enter Conference button.

  5. Fill in your details (first name, last name and iPhone number) on the My Details page and tap on Done.

  6. On the Are you the Host of the Conference? page, tap on Yes, I am the Host and then enter the host code (which can be found in the registration mail) and tap Continue.

    An account is automatically set up on your iPhone device.

  7. To initiate a conference directly from your iPhone application, tap the Start a Conference button.

What is the “My Details” page for in the iPhone application?

In the My Details page, you specify your name as it will appear to all other participants in the conference. You also specify the phone number for the teleconference service to call you. If you did not fill in your details before joining a conference, you will be asked to enter them the first time you join a conference.

What format should be used to enter my phone number?

You should enter the country code, area code and the local phone number, in that order. For example, 1-617-123-4567.

Scheduling/Initiating an AT&T Connect Teleconference

Can I schedule an AT&T Teleconference from my iPhone?

No, you cannot schedule an AT&T Teleconference from your iPhone. To schedule a teleconference, you first need to have an AT&T Teleconference account. Then you can schedule the teleconference from your PC and join it with the ‘AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor’ iPhone application from an email invitation.

Can I initiate an “on the fly” AT&T Teleconference from my iPhone?

Yes, if you have set up your AT&T Teleconference account on your iPhone, you can initiate an AT&T Teleconference from your iPhone. To initiate a teleconference, tap on the Start a Conference button and then, tap on Invite Others by Email or Invite Others by Phone from the Menu button.

Participating in an AT&T Teleconference from your iPhone

Can I invite other people to the teleconference after it has started?

Yes, you can invite others by email directly from the mobile application. In the Participants tab, tap on the Menu button and then select Invite Others by Email. If you are the conference host, you can also invite others by phone by selecting Invite Others by Phone.

What do the audio icons mean?

The icons indicate the audio status of each participant

Muted

Unmuted

Muted and locked (participant cannot unmute his/her microphone)

How do I leave a conference?

To leave a conference, tap on the Exit button on the Participants tab, or tap on the iPhone Home button.

Troubleshooting

I can join my conference, but keep getting disconnected. What should I do?

You should move to a location that has better network coverage.

How can I get the application logs?

When calling the AT&T Connect support center for help, the operator may ask you to send the AT&T Connect application logs. To send the logs, tap on the icon on the application home page or in the Conference tab. Then tap on Send my Logs and add a description to your problem.

The AT&T Connect Audio Conference Monitor application closed. How do I reconnect?

If the AT&T Connect application closed due to connection problems or switching to another application, you can rejoin the conference by tapping on the AT&T Connect icon in the iPhone Home page. If tapping on the AT&TConnect icon does not reconnect you to the conference, you should go back to the email invitation or open the calendar meeting and click on the conference monitor link (“Click Here to Join Conference Monitor”).

I live in the US and am now travelling abroad with my iPhone. I can’t connect to a conference. Why?

If you travel with your iPhone outside your country, you should turn Data Roaming in the iPhone settings page (tap on General, then Network) and verify with your mobile operator that you are allowed to access data and audio while travelling internationally. You will be charged with international data roaming rates, which can be expensive.
